Storylines

Storylines was a 60-foot video installation on Market St. in San Francisco. The name comes from the Native Australian practice of using song incorporating natural features to map out paths across the land to get from one place to another.

In this piece, I take the observational-based poetry and stories created by the San Francisco Writers Corp. And pair them to original footage meant to magnify visual landmarks in the urban space.

The piece ran publicly for 6 months with a different story each night. Dec 9, 2010 -

June 2, 2011.

All made possible through an NEA grant to the San Francisco Arts Commission.
